I have a feeling at first listen everyone is going to think this is a song about another black rapper bragging about spending money....It's not. Though lines like Chevy ridin black supreme taper fades and afro sheen are probably more about my experience as a young black man the verses speak a universal language that crosses lines of race and gender in my opinion. This song is about spending our grownup lives making others happy and rich and the times we spend money on ourselves to feel good or to see SOME fruits of our own labor besides paying bills. Spend what you like if you pay your bills just beware of the consequences and handle yourself like a grownup!
lyrics
((Hook))
Chevy Ridin
Sneakers clean
Chain is heavy
Black supreme
Taper fades and Afro sheen
Spend my bread on anything
Broke as hell crown me king (repeat)
Verse 1
Gotta be the first to buy it
First to Have it
Try it
And then tell you it's dead
salty taste when I look up in ur face
When I come up in the place
When I spent that bread
Im just tryin ya feel good, feel good
Flosin
Overpriced but it gave me goose bumps so he'll yeah I bought em
Imma pass down a lil bit of game
That my granddad passed down to me
Money
Money don't grow on trees
But honey
Honey does come from bees
And if you do the work and you pay yo bills
By all means please spend it how you please
I said
if you do the work and you pay yo bills
By all means please spend it how you please
Ball!

Verse 2
Look Mama I den bought our freedom
And we keepin it thanks to per-diems
Royalties
Guaranteed money
And body work in the vent in the BM
Tiny paychecks and tax refunds
Imma go and have some fun
Hate my job they make me sick
Give us crumbs we make them rich
I ain't stupid I realize it 9-5 I rationalize it
Lesser evil least I'm working
Bills to pay pockets hurtin
So hell yeah I spent that bread
Leased that Camero cherry red
What's my happiness verse my debt
When my job and bills make me feel dead!
